Montana Troutaholic guide, Tony Marino and I got out on the river today for a little fun. We put on around 11am and fished until 7pm. It was a very enjoyable day! The weather was warm, (55 degrees) the fish were eating on the surface,
and it was fishy all day long!
Spring can come with a lot of ups and downs when it comes to fishing and today was definitely an up day. Lots of fish on dry flies. There were only a few Skwalla Stoneflies out and about, but the fish were looking for them. Size of the fly was very important. Size 12 was the ticket! Anything bigger and the fish would just nose it.
Now is the time to book those spring trips! Come prepared and we will take you to the fun!
