Long time Montana Troutaholic client, Joe Goodman and I hit the river yesterday for an incredible day of fishing! The early part of the morning was a little sleepy, but once things turned on it was non stop action for the rest of the day! The best fish of the day was a twenty inch rainbow that chowed down a red Turk’s Tarantula! He worked Joe over good, but Joe won the battle in the end so he and the fish could get a mug shot together. The most memorable fish of the day? Easy. That would be the bull trout that ferociously chased AND caught the 14 inch cutthroat Joe had on his line. He was not quite big enough to swallow the cutthroat whole, but would not let go of him until I came at them with the net!! Quite the site to see.
The fishing is prime right now. Book your trip soon and see for yourself!
