Yesterday I spent the day with Cal and Dick Boggess on the river and what a great day it was! Dick and his wife Shelli had gotten Cal a fly fishing trip with Montana Troutaholics for a Christmas present and yesterday was the day for cashing it in. I somehow convinced them to meet me at 5 am so we could beat the heat and the crowds. That held true for most of the day. We were on the river by 6 am and within the first hour or so Cal had his first ever fish caught on a fly rod! I was very glad to be a part of that. Both father and son did great all day long and I think they both walked away with the fly fishing bug for life!
